Amit Tandon, Co-Founder and Director of Research
Amit has been involved in the capital markets
space for over 15 years in various roles including corporate finance and law. He
brings a unique perspective to his role as an equity research professional with
experience in advising emerging growth companies in capital formation as well as
his legal experience in tax, corporate finance, and commercial litigation from his
decade of practicing law in New York City with some of the top New York City law
firms including White & Case and Thacher Profitt.
Amit founded Emissary Capital, LLC, a private investment firm focused on microcap investment banking. He also was CEO of another private investment banking advisory firm focused on emerging market companies.
He earned his BA degree in History from Cornell University, an LLM degree in taxation
law from the New York University School of Law and a JD from the University at Buffalo
School of Law. Amit remains a licensed attorney in the United States in the states
of New York and Connecticut.
Ajay Tandon, Co-Founder and Director of Research
Ajay brings over 12 years of experience
in the financial service industry and considerable experience advising, structuring
transactions, and raising capital for smallcap public and private enterprises with
respect to equity and equity linked transactions prior to his role at SeeThruEquity.
Ajay co-founded Emissary Capital, LLC, a private
investment firm focused on microcap investment banking.
Prior to serving as Director of Research of SeeThruEquity, LLC and President
of Emissary Capital, LLC, Ajay served as Vice President of Equity Capital Markets
at Maxim Group, LLC, a New York City based, full service investment banking firm.
In his role at Maxim, Ajay led the firm's equity syndicate and origination efforts
with respect to PIPEs, registered IPOs and follow-on offerings. Prior to his role
at Maxim Group, Ajay served as an executive for Dealogic plc, an analytics platform
used by global and regional investment banks worldwide to help optimize their performance
and improve competitiveness.
Ajay began his career in financial services as a management consultant with IBM
Global Services and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University.
Jay Albany, CFA, Senior Vice President, Equity Research
Jay brings over 10 years of experience performing fundamental equity research and
analysis to the firm. He is a seasoned buy-side analyst with experience both as
a generalist and as a specialist covering the technology, media, telecom and consumer
sectors. Jay built his reputation creating proprietary research on small and mid-sized
companies which have been underfollowed or misunderstood by Wall Street.
Prior to joining SeeThruEquity, Jay served as a Research Analyst at Skellig Capital
LLC, a fundamental global hedge fund with approximately $100mm in assets under management,
where he was responsible for stock selection, equity research and analysis and idea
generation. Before joining Skellig, he served as a Research Analyst for Calisto
Capital Management, Inc., a fundamental hedge fund with approximately $100mm assets
under management focused on the communications and technology sectors.
Jay began his career in 1999 as a manager of business development at kozmo.com,
an internet retailer. He is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the New York Society
of Securities Analysts.
Jay earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University in 1999.
Jennifer Wolf, Vice President, Marketing
Jennifer brings seven years of experience as a financial marketing and relationship
management executive to the firm. Prior to joining SeeThruEquity, she held a number
of senior roles at TD Securities and Smith Barney as a senior member of a high net
worth financial advisory team focusing on relationship development and problem resolution.
Jennifer is driven to succeed and deliver results through project management and
a client centric philosophy. During her career, she has also worked for Citigroup,
North Fork Bank and Bank of America.
Jennifer is also a current holder of Series 7 and 66 FINRA securities licenses as
well as the New York State Life and Health Insurance license. She earned her MBA
in International Business from the European School of Economics in Rome, Italy in
2011 and a B.S. degree in Business, Management and Finance from Brooklyn College
in New York City in 2006.
